Bath Time! ((Part 2))

Well, we washed the boys! Sam was absolutely amazing and we even got his back legs done!! The trick? Lickit. What's the downside? I think the photographs below show it. We left him for 20mins and somehow he got it all over the rest of his body.

But I'm really proud of him for doing it, even if we only got washing up to the knees!!

And this would be the downside...

Wash time!

Well, I've been meaning to post daily but I've been hella busy this week. So as a quick update, we went XC and had a brilliant time, and we're going again this thursday.

Today I'm meeting up with a friend who's pony is celebrating his birthday, and we're going to give the boys a wash since it's so nice and warm at the moment.

This is going to be brilliant, since the last time we attempted a wash, Sam threw an absolute meltdown about the water on his back legs and wouldn't even let us sponge it, so fingers crossed we can do better today.

I'm taking the camera up so we'll definitely get pictures of the boys!

New tack? Won't be clean for long!

I was going to Blue Chip this year, but as I've been away on holiday, the decision was made for me to pull out instead of risk falling off and embarrassing myself.
Like someone goes and stress eats, I went off my local horse store and blew off steam by buying some more tack and other odd bits and bobs. We got a new saddle a few days ago anyways, so a new breastplate and saddlecloth was in order. I'm eying up a new bridle too, but it's green so I'm not sure I'll be allowed to put it on at shows. But green! How cool is that?!

I really should learn not to spend all my money... Haha I'll have nothing for myself and my horse will be pampered as anything!

We've got Cross Country tomorrow. Won't get many pictures but I'll try to get a video or two!

Sam's new best friend - Danté

Welcome!!

Welcome!
Well, to sum this up: this is my first post on this blog. I'm hoping to use it as a way to share my achievements with my beautiful grey Samson.
I'll probably put this in the blog's description, but Sam is a 7 (nearly 8) year old purebred Connemara gelding. He loves to jump... Most of the time... And he never stays clean, despite all my desperate efforts. Oh, and I'm enjoying my third year owning him

I'll be using this blog to post updates about our adventures, share tips to grey owners and generally just have a good time.

I also have a YouTube - annieandtheponies if anyone wants to check it out - there are loads of videos of him on there.
